Willy Busfield is a New York‐based filmmaker. Raised in Los Angeles, after attending Cal Arts (focusing film/video studies with an emphasis on essay filmmaking and experimental film techniques), he began his career in feature films. He moved to NYC and became director of photography to artists including Charlotte Wales, Zoe Ghertner, Nicolas Kantor, Thomas Lohr, Julia Noni, Brianna Capozzi and Bobby Doherty. Given the breadth of his experience and knowledge, he is adept with scripting, color, editing, and has been entrusted by brand creatives to both direct and film their moving image projects.
His clients include Chanel, MAC, Glossier, Theory, YSL, Merlette, Carolina Herrera, Sonia Rykiel, Ferragamo, Nars, Zara, Jacamo, Nordstrom, Origins, The Real Real, Vince, Sephora, Jacques, Hermes, Bobbi Brown, Coty and Area among others.
