Bruno Staub was born and raised in the south of France. He grew up with a father who made small gelatin silver prints of family members and neighbors - and was greatly inspired by it. He was so drawn to the magical process of the darkroom that he actually conducted scientific studies to better understand the nuances of its workings.
He began his career assisting a interiors photographer in Paris. Exposure to these luxurious environments provided enormous inspiration for Bruno - he absorbed the various aesthetics and tastes, and decided to develop his own eye. After a decade in Paris, Bruno moved to the US and is currently based in New York City. He is most inspired by his travels around the world, taking in how everything is constantly evolving and changing; he feels as though it “makes you feel very big and very little all at the same time.”
Bruno is known for his ability to showcase the beauty of exoticism, architecture and strength in his work. He is a regular contributor to some of the worlds' leading fashion publications, including Fantastic Man, WSJ, Man About Town, i-D, Hercules, Details, GQ Style Germany, Mister Muse, Teen Vogue, and Vamp, amongst others.
His advertising clients include Dior Homme, Louis Vuitton, Bugatti, Kris Van Assche, A.P.C., Cole Haan, Adidas, Saks Fifth Avenue, M. Martin, Abercrombie & Fitch and Perry Ellis.
Bruno currently lives in Brooklyn, NY where he loves to scavenge for rare books and other special objects.
